How do I Apply My Sublimation Transfer to My Item?
You must have a heat press to press sublimation (irons do not work). It takes medium, even pressure with ONE press.
- You must use a shirt/item that is at least 65% polyester. 100% polyester shirts or materials work the best to get the most vibrant colors. Please note: The lower the polyester count, the lighter the image will look. Some experience a "vintage look" and you may experience fading after washing the garment. My favorite shirts are Jerzee Dri Power SPORT (they feel like cotton but are 100% polyester) And George brand from Wal-Mart (men's section) which are 65% polyester. These will have a slight fading to them, but they are really comfortable.
- White or light-colored shirts are highly recommended. White and Heather grey are the most popular colors. Keep in mind, dark-colored shirts will not show the transfer image.
- If there is white in the design, it is actually transparent. Sublimation does not print white.
- An instructions card will come with every new customer order with all of this information along with care instructions.
